Hi and welcome back to my blog. This for the past 2 weeks in reading I’ve been learning about friendship.
For our create we had 3 choices
1 was to make a digital friendship chain or bracelet with a separate loop for each of your friends
2 a comic strip that tells the story of a person that has gone through troublesome friendships and come through stronger for it and why
3 Create a friendship soup, this would need to be presented like a recipe. A step-by-step guide.

I was inspired to do those Tunes because of my grandma because she loved music like that when she was young.

Intro
Hi I am Monica and this is my life.
I was born in July and I was wide awake ready to start my new life and believe it or not but it was snowing. When my mum brought me back home we were living on the other side of town because my dad owned a cafe. Then we moved when I was still very young when I was 1 or 2 I started preschool with my brother but I was in the nursery and then I moved up to be with my brother then I left to kindy.
Kindergarten
I loved my kindergarten as soon as I stepped foot into it. At kindergarten I made lots of friends. I made best friends with Honor who goes to my school now. At kindergarten I loved to play on the swings and make things with the glue guns. When I left kindergarten I was so sad because I loved it so much.
School
I started at St Francis of Assisi School when I started I only had 4 friends and they were Honor, Lilly-anne, Avah and Leo. My favourite thing was the library.
Now
Now I am a year 5 and I am ten years old and I have little more friends than I did.
Out of school
Out of school I attend Studio 42 there I do dance singing, tap, jazz acting and so much more I do swimming on Wednesdays and netball training on Tuesdays. In the morning on Saturdays I have a netball game and I have to be there at 8:10. In my netball team there are Kayla, Indi, Emilie, Ash, Violet, Shakarna and me. Our Coach is Shakarna’s sister Makayla. I love everything I do especially dance.
When I am older
When I am older I dream to be a lead in a show, a famous netball player and a professional dancer.
Hello and welcome back to my blog,
On Thursdays we do winter sports at Hagley park people in my team are Alexi, Ainsley, Ava.W, Kiriana, Me, Ivy, Lucy, Ava.R, Harper.K, Nia and Bella. I play netball and this week we played Rowley and we lost but they were so tall. The best part of the game was when I got a good intercept. something I need to work on is moving into space. Next week I want to move around and get more intercepts.
What is your favorite sport?
On Wednesday 17th of August we were lucky enough to have the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra come to our school and played for for us.
The instrument that I liked the most was harp because I liked how it was big and i really like the colour gold.
The thing that surprised me the most was that bigger instruments can play lower than little instruments because I thought that bigger the instrument the higher.
Something that I found interesting was that there are different families for the instruments because i thought that there was only one family that all of them were in.
What is your favorite instrument?
We have just finished two weeks of swimming lessons at QEII.
In my last blog post something I wanted to use this week to improve on was going into the deep pool and I have been successful because Alexi and my group said that there is nothing to be scared of and you can do this.
This week, we did a lot of water safety skills. Something that I have learnt is what to do when you are in trouble and when someone else is in trouble and this is important because when you or someone else is drowning you know to help them and you know what to do.
The thing that I enjoyed the most this week was the boats because we had to fall off the boat and we learnt so much of what you should do if you fall off a boat.
Something that I want to learn next time I have swimming lessons at school is lots more water safety because it is so fun and you will know how to save yourself and save others.
What is your favorite swimming thing to do at the swimming pool?
This term, we have swimming for the first two weeks of school. We are having our lessons at QEII.
In previous years when we had swimming lessons at school I enjoyed the boats, life jacket days and PJ day. I like those things because they are really fun and you get to learn about water safety.
Something that I have enjoyed this week is doing dolphin dives, and survival backstroke. I like dolphin dives because I like going down to the bottom of the pool. I like survival backstroke because the moves you do are really fun to do.
Something that I have found hard this week is going into the deep pool and being confident in the big pool because I am not confident with deep water and I do not like cold water.
Something that I want to improve on next week is going into the deep pool and being confident and breathing when I am on my back because I stop breathing and I have to stand up.
For the last four weeks of Term 2 we are focusing on Statistics.
“What is Statistics” Well Statistics is Data and graphs which you can which is the most popular and the less you can use tally marks to see the highest number of people that voted for one thing.
Some things I know about Statistics is that you can use keys to show what you are talking about.
I am looking forward to learning more thing that we can do with Statistics.
